"How do you write a book in Canada?" My Story...
I just had lost my job and sat there in the car for a while. I finally decided, "I'm going to write a book." I didn't know anyone from the community, but it didn't occur to me. The first thing I did was I googled: How do you write a book in Canada. Six months later, I had my very first book, Khadijah goes to School. That was over 10 years ago, in 2011. There is much work to do, and some beautiful people still to meet. I hope this journey never ends...
The Promise of Giving
Giving is the central concept in my work. For me, Giving is the attempt to create harmony, balance, and progress. I believe every other endeavour stems from this. Giving is not necessarily material or physical, although it can very well be. It can be emotional, it can be timely, it can be historical. Giving is a promise. It will never diminish what you have. Khadijah goes to School, my first book, is a primer of my thoughts, and founded on the principle of Giving.
